Hawa Mahal is palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Hawa Mahal is also known as "The palace of  Wind". It is the most visited palace in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal made with red and pink sandstone. In this Mahal total number of windows present outside the walls are 953. The shape of this Mahal is Honeycomb shaped, and the beautifully curved windows are present in the Mahal. All these things make it perfect palace for the Summer.

History:-

Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The Kachhwaha ruler, Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh was ordered to Lal Chand Usta to construct an extension to the Royal City palace.

Architecture:-

In this Mahal has total 953 windows. The large number of windows, each of them are size of a peep hole because the Royal Ladies were not seen by the public. It has five stores palace, each built in the form of Krishna's Crown because Maharaja was devoties of Lord Krishna. In this colorful glass work on Ratan Mandir which is palace on the second floor.

Visiting Time:-

The best time of visiting the mahal is in the early morning when the Sun rises and enter in the room from windows. The Mahal illuminated with golden Lights.
